Fashion 3peat: Floral Blazer

Welcome to week two of my new series: Fashion 3peat. This week I’m bringing you a splurge item from a store I absolutely adore called Evereve. The minute I saw this jacket on the website, I knew I had to have it. It was love at first sight and when the package arrived at my doorstep, I nearly wept with joy (not really, but I was pumped).

You may find yourself wondering how to know when an item is splurge-worthy. The following will help guide your decision making.

  • How disappointed would you be if they sold out of the item? If you answered, “Eh, I could live without it…” then don’t buy it. If you would be seriously bummed out, continue on.
  • How often do you realistically see yourself wearing this? There’s a big difference between once a week and only once. Period.
  • How versatile is the item/can it be worn more than one way? We all have those pieces in our closet that are reserved for special occasions or can only be worn with a certain skirt or pair of pants, etc. If you aren’t great at styling, another way to ask this question is: can I wear this to more than one type of occasion (work, weekends, date night, etc.)?

So, if you feel like you can’t live without it, will wear it often, can style it more than one way, or wear it for more than one type of occasion, then go ahead and treat yo-self! Like I always say, you can look like a million bucks in discount clothing but if you only ever buy $20 items, you’ll start to look like 20 bucks. End. Of. Story.

Insert the Holy Grail of jackets. This can be styled in many more than 3 ways. I could have shown you at least 10 options. This is THE perfect transitional piece. Wear it now and all summer long.

Gimme all the jackets!!! I love a jacket because it provides structure, visual interest and warmth. Think how cold it will be in the office when it’s 90 degrees this summer. A jacket is also a nice change pace from it’s lame cousin, the cardigan. Chill, I wear cardigans too.

Read on to see the various ways I have styled this beauty. I am wearing below in medium. Available in sizes XS-L. Want to try this little baby for yourself? Here you go!

Buy this now and thank me later.

Option #1: Wear tomorrow with a dress, tights, and a cute pair of booties.

Option #2: Transition this into a fun spring work look by adding a pencil skirt. Ignore my winter white legs. I have zero reason to apply liquid sun right now, so you’re just going to have to deal with the alabaster that is currently my skin tone.

Shoes, size down: Target.

Top, wearing in M Tall, Mauve Over: Old Navy.

Option #3: Pair with a black tank and some destructed jeans for brunch, a baby shower at your cousin’s house or anywhere else you want to look put together on the weekend.

I want to call special attention to the jeans below because THEY ARE A GIFT FROM THE HEAVENS! At under $30 from Target, they are steal and they fit like a dream. The only downfall is this new brand of Target jeans does run small, so do size up. And remember, size is just a number on a tag that literally nobody will ever see but you.

Jeans, size up: Target.

Mules, TTS: Target.

As always, I hope this has been helpful.

See ya next time!
