- fresh basil, chopped to taste
- balsamic glaze to taste
- 1 French baguette
- extra virgin olive oil to taste

- While oven is preheating, slice baguette into even pieces for the crostini. Place on a baking sheet and brush (or drizzle) with extra virgin olive oil. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until slightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Rub garlic clove over each piece.

BRIE RIND NOTES
A lot of people who try brie for the first time do not enjoy the taste of the rind. If you’re in that camp, simply freeze brie for 15 minutes, and cut off the rind. Freezing the brie makes cutting off the rind a lot easier! I also find that cutting the rind off of a wedge is a lot easier than cutting the rind off of a wheel. So, if you’re planning to cut off the rind, you may wish to go with a wedge instead of a wheel. Just make sure the wedge you purchase is equal in size to a standard wheel (8 ounces).
GARLIC NOTES
A lot of bruschetta recipes call for garlic, but my preference is to add garlic to the bread instead. You still get a lot of great garlic flavor without it overpowering the entire dish.
