While the official first day of winter is December 21, it certainly feels like winter already in Iowa. If you live in the Midwest, you know that fall, while it is actually an entire season, lasts approximately 2 days. It seems like winter came early this year. Basically I blinked and suddenly there was snow on the ground and ice on my windshield. You see, I have what I like to call “winter amnesia”. The second it turns to spring I forget about winter completely and it doesn’t enter my mind again until I’m assaulted with that first blast of cruel, frigid air. Winter has a few saving graces, though; tights, turtlenecks, over-sized sweaters, tunics and leggings. As luck would have it, my winter bod also came early this year so I’m all set for that winter wardrobe life. Lucky me.
One of my favorite winter combos as of late has got to be the tunic/legging combo. Because like I said, winter bod. Listen, we all have struggles with clothes no matter what our body type but, as a taller girl, I struggle with clothes generally being too short. Pant hems are too high and sleeves are never long enough. [Where my tall girls at?!?] I don’t know about you, but I seem to be having a particularly rough go-about with the tunic this year. Many retailers right now are slapping the word ‘tunic’ on just about any sweater they can get their hands on. “Let’s write the word tunic on the website and hope they don’t notice it’s not actually tunic length.” While retailers have gotten increasingly tricky with their marketing tactics, I know a NON-tunic when I see one.
Which leads me to this beauty!
Tunic length? Check. Elbow patches? Check. Pockets? Check. Festive AF? Check. Wearing here in large. If you’re a tall girl, you will definitely want to snag this one before it’s gone! And just look how much fun I’m having. Don’t you want to be having this much fun too?

Speaking of combos. My favorite earring combo? Lightweight and affordable. These little babies are just that. Accessories are the easiest way to spice up any wardrobe on the cheap.
Happy shopping, my friends! Be sure to send this one to your husband if he still seems stumped on what to get you this Christmas.
See ya next time!
