Charcuterie Pull Apart Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made sourdough loaf
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Roth Grand Cru cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces salami, diced (I used garlic & black pepper flavor)
  • 1/2 cup green olives, roughly chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley
  • cracked pepper to taste
  • red pepper flakes to taste
  • cooking spray or extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cut sourdough loaf into a checkered pattern.
  • Melt butter. Mix garlic powder, parsley, pepper and red pepper flakes into the melted butter. Brush butter mixture into the loaf, making sure to coat all areas evenly. Reserve 1/4 to brush over the outside at the end.
  • Stuff loaf with salami, olives and cheese.
  • Brush outside with the remaining butter.
  • Cover loosely with aluminum foil, making sure to spray the foil with cooking spray or olive oil so it doesn't stick.
  • Bake covered for 20 minutes.
  • Uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese has melted.
  • Enjoy!

ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS

Giardiniera would be a delicious addition to this charcuterie pull apart bread! It comes in mild or hot, so perfect no matter what your heat tolerance is. I love the hot peppers! You could also try roasted red peppers.

There are so many flavor combinations you could try, so use your imagination and get cooking. If you’re looking for suggestions, I recommend a pizza combo (think sausage or pepperoni) or try pesto and cheese. Both are so tasty! You really can’t go wrong no matter what you choose to make.

WHAT DO DO WITH LEFTOVERS

IF you have any leftovers (and I doubt you will), make croutons for salads or soups. Simple dice any remaining bread into cubes and bake until golden or heat in a frying pan over medium heat. Both ways work great.

SUBSTITUTIONS FOR ROTH GRAND CRU CHEESE

Feel free to use any cheese you like! I used Roth Grand Cru because I had some on hand at the time I created this recipe. It’s a great melting cheese. You can sub for more mozzarella, fontina, havarti or any other cheese you like!
