Family Scavenger Hunt

As I type, the date is March 19, 2020. (Some of you may be reading this months later.) It is a difficult time right now for a lot of households. My husband and I don’t have any kids but I want to help those that do – even if in a very small way. I have created below a scavenger hunt for you to play with your family. I actually created this for my own family when we hosted at Christmas. I purchased socks from the Target dollar spot and wrapped them up – one for each member of my fam. Then, I hid them in various places of my house according to the clues below. There was one clue for each member of the family. This game was a huge hit. The fam loved it and I know yours will too.

The first set of questions/clues below is exactly what I used at Christmas. My family Christmas was a group of all ages. You are welcome to use them, but I have also created a second list of questions/clues that are more kid friendly and kid focused. To make this work for today, simply gather up something you might already have around the house. Think legos, barbies, toy cars, Easter eggs, pieces of candy – whatever you have an abundance of that can be used. Then, change the word “gift” in the first set of questions (if you decide to use some of these) to reflect your item. (You don’t have to wrap the items either, that’s just what I did at Christmas.) Another option would be to purchase something inexpensive but new from Amazon or another store online and wrap or simply hide the items unwrapped. The choice is totally yours. You can choose to spend a little money, but you certainly don’t have to. I hope this serves as a fun distraction for the whole family. You can also do these all at once or split them up into different days. Get creative and do what works best for your family. Please let me know if you have any questions!
