Oh boy. Buckle up boys and girls, because I have a summer treat in store for you today! Unlike my favorite frozen Dairy Queen treats, this summer treat won’t cause you any regrets…actually, I never regret DQ. Ever. Butterscotch Dilly Bar or Butterfinger blizzard is where it’s at! Great. Now I want DQ. Must. Resist. I seriously digress…
Where were we? Oh yes, summer treats…which brings me to today’s Fashion 3peat: Gap Blue Midi Tank Dress. Now, I know many of you reading this are petite flowers and many of you petite flowers have expressed to me that you don’t believe you can pull off a midi length skirt/dress. I’m here to tell you, you’re wrong. I’m sorry, I love you…but you’re wrong. Remember what I said before? You never know until you try – in life and in the dressing room. I’m going to show you a couple tricks in option #1 below to help you navigate the midi world no matter the distance from your head to the ground.

Option #1: Boho it up. Just don’t forget the “bo” because without it, you a…ho. If you’re feeling frumpy in a midi style length because you were born vertically challenged, I recommend two things. 1.) Try a shoe with a heel to add some height and give your calves a little extra somethin’ somethin’. 2.) Try tying one side up in a knot. Oh come on! All the coolest bloggers are doing it! 🙂
Dress: wearing in M and available in XS-XXL regular, tall and petite. Also available in two other colors, both of which are stripes! Just $36 today.
Wedges: limited sizes available unfortunately.
Option #2: Totes casual. If I could go to work like this I would. Every. Single. Day. If you don’t have a denim jacket, WTF are you waiting for? My gal pal Nanci recently listened to my denim jacket advice and hasn’t looked back. Wardrobe staple, my friends.
If you don’t have one already, I recommend the following:
Slightly distressed and budget friendly: available in XS-XXL regular, tall and petite.
Splurge worthy: available in XS-XL.
Sneaks: literally threw my Converse away the other day because these are so comfortable. I wash them in the washing machine with towels to keep them white and just air dry. True to size.
Option #3: Now this, I would totally wear to work. Although the material of the dress is on the thinner side, I do think it is still office appropriate (depending on the office, of course) styled like this. The heat right now in Iowa, however, won’t allow that to happen. But I’m not one to complain about the heat because this last winter just about killed me and it’s not something I’ll ever forget. That’s right. Colder than a witch’s…EXACTLY.
Belt: wearing here in L and available in S-L in brown and black.
Cardigan: similar style and available in XS-XL.
Another cardigan option: super affordable and available in several colors and sizes XS-XXL.
There you have it, my friends! Hit me up with all your Q’s!
See ya on the next post!
