These pepperoni pizza pinwheels are a great addition to your Valentine’s Day festivities. Rolled to resemble roses, you can skip a dozen actual flowers and make these for your honey on February 14th instead. They are adorable, delicious, and perfectly portioned so you can enjoy them as an appetizer or as a meal with a side salad. If you love pepperoni pizza, you are sure to love these pinwheels. Try dunking them in extra sauce, ranch dressing or drizzle with hot honey if you love a sweet and salty combo. I drizzle hot honey on my pepperoni pizza quite often. If you haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend.

Pepperoni Pizza Pinwheels
Ingredients
- 1 tube pizza dough
- pizza sauce to taste
- 1 package pepperoni slices (approximately 90 slices)
- 12 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
- Italian seasoning to taste
- red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Unroll pizza dough from the tube and press out the edges so that you have an even rectangle. (The edges of the tubed pizza dough have a tendency to be thicker than the middle.) You don't need to roll out the dough with a rolling pin, but do make sure you have even dough throughout.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce on top of the pizza dough.
- Top the sauce with 12 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle cheese with Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to taste.
- Lay 8-10 pepperoni slices in an overlapping pattern on the edge of the dough (the short side of the rectangle).) Each pepperoni slice should be half on the dough and half off so that when you roll it up, it resembles a rose.
- Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough at the end of the pepperoni slice.
- Roll the dough into a pinwheel.
- Place each pinwheel into a greased muffin pan.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 13-15 minutes.
- Make sure to add a baking sheet under the muffin pan to avoid any spills from the pepperoni grease.

I drizzle hot honey on my pepperoni pizza quite often. If you haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend. Hot honey has a little kick, but I don’t find it to be very spicy at all.
