Listen up. I am not a make-up person or a product junkie by any stretch of the imagination. I want what works and I want it right now. What I don’t want? A lot of extra crap cluttering up my make-up box. I don’t enjoy testing new products and I hate when a product I love, and have used for years, is DISCONTINUED. UGGGHHHHHH! That. Is. The. Worst. I still remember my old favorite foundation: Stay True, Stay Light by Clinique. No joke, I all but had a total meltdown when they discontinued that line. I bought every bottle I could get my hands on. Eventually my stash ran out and my skin never looked as good as it did with that Clinique. I did eventually find a replacement I am satisfied with, which you can find below. The point is this, my friends: I don’t enjoy the process of putting on make-up or getting ready. If I could snap my fingers and be ready every day, I would. I also don’t enjoy testing new products of any kind because most of them just disappoint me. Call it false advertising, call it empty promises, call it I don’t look like Heidi Klum at all like the bottle promised, call it whatever you want. The thing is, I wear make-up and use products to feel more like myself and be the best version of me I can possibly be, even if I look nothing like my girl Heidi.
The good news is that even with all the failed products I have tried over the years, I have found many that I continue to buy over and over again. They are my tried and true. I don’t even wait until they run out to buy anew. I have back-ups on stand by should I run out of something mid morning. And sometimes, when there is a sale, my back-ups have back-ups.
*Disclaimer: This post was highly requested via IG poll, but I am not a make-up artist, hair stylist or health nut. These are simply the products I have grown to love over the years. You need to decide what’s best for you based on individual product ingredients.*

My baby fine hair gets caught in brushes that are attached with a gap in between the handle and the actual brush head. After years of ripping out my hair on the daily I found this baby. Never going back. I don’t have a lot of extra hair to begin with, so losing it was becoming a real problem.
If you blow dry your hair everyday, I highly recommend this regardless of hair type. You should spray this on your hair before you blow dry. It helps speed up the drying process and smooths as you dry. It will also not weigh your hair down if you have fine hair.
If you use a curling iron or flat iron on your hair and don’t use this, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life. Spray this on your hair before you use the irons. It will protect your hair from the heat and help give you some shine.
I assume everyone has used this, but I’ve already learned my lesson on assuming. The trick with this is to spray and then DON’T touch your hair while it’s still wet or you’ll look like a hot mess.
Clinique, if you’re reading this…(yes I’m aware Clinique will literally never be reading this article) don’t even mess with this foundation. It is perfect just the way it is. It has a nice medium coverage and doesn’t cake up after a long day of wear. It also doesn’t cause break-outs on my sensitive skin. If you discontinue this foundation, I will be forced to hunt you down. 🙂 I like to apply with a beauty sponge for a nice even coverage. I don’t wet my sponge like other people do. I know, I’m weird. I use in shade Ivory.
What can I say? I’m a Clinique girl. I use this every day, even in the winter. It can easily be layered more for summer but just wakes up my face. I am not a morning person. If you ever come in contact with ‘Morning Megan’ – just know it’s all smoke and mirrors.
I struggled for a long time with my mascara/eye liner transferring to my upper lid…until a co-worker told me to use a primer. Problem solved. This helps my eye shadow last all day long. I also use this MAC product in shade Painterly. The jury is still out on which is better for me – but both super good.
This lasts all day. I like the shade ABC Gum for everyday wear. I actually apply this with a one time use wand (I use them more than once). Like I said, I’m weird. I think I just heard a collective GASP from every single beauty blogger in America (and Canada).
This stuff is the bomb!!! I love getting gel manicures. Love. But after a few months, it starts to take a toll not only my wallet, but also the health of my nails. Gel, over time, just flat out destroys my nails. I wish it didn’t but it does. Following a gel binge, I use this to help bring my nails back to life. Seems expensive and it is for a bottle of “nail polish” but I’m telling you it works. It also gives your nails a nice shine to them so helps them appear super healthy during the healing process. Even if you don’t do gel, I highly recommend this. Plus, since it’s basically clear you won’t see chips. I’m telling you, this is not the same as your basic clear nail polish. Trust.
Summer. Life. Saver. No more thigh chafe…halle-frickin-lujah! Buy this now and thank me all damn summer.
WOWZA. Never smelled a hair product this good. Plus, everyone needs a little root boost. Especially if you like your hair big, like me. You know what they say…the higher the hair, the closer to God. I like big hair…like, Dolly big. But seriously, how do I get my hair this big?
Speaking of good smells… You may think it’s weird I suggested a fragrance from Wal-Mart. Not your usual fragrance destination. For years I have purchased this from Von Maur, but I know not everyone is located near a Von Maur. A quick google search and I found it at good ole Wally World. I asked my aunt to describe this scent. Her answer? Heaven. This is super light and won’t overwhelm you. It’s also not too floral heavy and has a cleaner scent to it.
To be honest, I don’t have a ton of experience with self tanners. I prefer spray tans at Elevate salon, but I’m ballin’ on a budget and I do need a little help with my tan in the summer as my natural complexion is basically opaque. I miss the days when tanning beds and Diet Coke were good for you. I digress… I’ve simply never needed to try anything else because it looks great and really natural on my skin. Application is key though but that’s another post for another day. Feel free to message me if you have questions about application. You may already know an Arbonne consultant but if you don’t, mine is Becky Lahart.
If you have oily skin, I highly, highly recommend this product. Leaves my skin feeling so nice and clean. You may already know a Beautycounter consultant, but if you don’t, mine is Cheyanne Kofmehl.
I have been trying to work these babies into my content for the better part of a year now. I have a lot of male family members that follow my social pages so it’s super awkward for me to be like “hey let’s talk about underwear for a sec”… Uncle Richard, if you’re still reading this post right now, God bless you. However, I think it’s fine if you stop reading now. Ta-Ta! Shoo! Ok, ladies. Let’s talk about VPL for a minute. (Mom, that stands for visible panty line.) Don’t get caught with VPL ever again. Buy any of the vanishing edge panties and you’ll be golden. I swear by these. Still on the hunt for the perfect bra, though. Sorry, girls. Listen, it happens to all of us from time to time. Even I have been a victim of VPL in the past. However, if you don’t wear these underwear, you need to. No more thongs. You won’t need ’em. Promise.
Which of these products do you already use and love? Hit me up with all your Q’s!
See ya on the next post.
